Suzanne Trezevant Little was an exceptional woman. Born to a prominent Memphis family, she nursed her fiancé, Edward H. Little, through a three-year bout with tuberculosis, and anchored a lifelong marriage that propelled him to the presidency of Colgate-Palmolive for 23 years. She devoted much of her adult life to philanthropic efforts throughout the United States, focusing on schools, colleges, churches and hospitals, especially in the Memphis area. Her legacy includes Trezevant, the Mid-South's only accredited continuing care retirement community.
