What is a Lifecare retirement community? Lifecare offers a long-term contract to provide a continuum of care - from residential apartments to assisted living and then to nursing care. A Lifecare community may also be referred to as Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC).

Why choose a CCRC? CCRCs offer seniors a fulfilling lifestyle with the assurance that extra assistance and health care will be provided as needed.

What levels of care are provided at CCRCs? At Trezevant Manor residential apartments in a high-rise building and cottages are offered. Assisted living and nursing care are offered in Allen Morgan Health Center.

What is residential living? Residential living is designed to support full, comfortable lifestyles for seniors. It provides each resident with services and other amenities that free them from heavy housekeeping and maintenance chores.

What is assisted living? Assisted living is for those residents who require help with the activities of daily living (ADLs), but do not need nursing care. Trained staff is available 24-hours a day to help with meals, dressing, monitoring medications and personal hygiene.

What does Trezevant's CCAC Accreditation mean? Widely regarded as a mark of quality for aging services, our CCAC accreditation means that Trezevant Manor has met or exceeded the standards of excellence set by the Continuing Care Accreditation Commission in three critical areas:
- Health and Wellness
- Governance
- Finance and Strategy

How does a retirement community obtain CCAC accreditation? Trezevant earned this accreditation through a voluntary process involving extensive self-evaluation by our staff, residents, board of directors as well as an on-site review by trained CCAC evaluators.

How long will I have to keep my name on the Wait List? Time spent on the Wait List will depend upon your timetable as well as the residential unit desired, the current turnover and the demand for that apartment or cottage type.

If I am interested in moving to Trezevant Manor, but not ready to give up my home, when is the right time to move? When you are settled in a house you love, it is difficult to make a big move to a retirement community. However, your good health is your best assurance for entrance. If you wait until you need assistance, it may be too late to quality for residency. Getting on the Wait List well before you think you need to move is strongly recommended. Our Wait List is for individuals who are planning for their future and would like to have a priority number.

What is the admission process? The Marketing Department will be happy to explain the application and admission process. You may call 901-325-4000 or email marketing@trezevantmanor.org.
